The perfect small cruiser for fresh or salt water!
Sadly after 18 years of ownership, I am selling Friendship, a beautiful Kent Washington Ranger 26.
Now that I’ve retired, my wife and I are planning on buying a boat and cruising the East coast and Bahamas and perhaps beyond. This boat has been up and down most of the waterways on the Columbia from Ilwaco to the narrows on the John Day river as well as 2 trips the entire length of Puget Sound and several trips to the San Juans.
Ranger only built about 70 of these boats before the economy took a deep downturn and ended production of many manufacturers boats, but the Kent Ranger is a coveted classic with nearly a cult like following. These are great trailer-able pocket cruisers. Built and rigged like 30′ ocean going boats and yet easy to haul anyplace where adventure awaits!
The boat is moored on Hayden Island in summer months and stored for the winter in my shop every winter. I’d be happy to show it to you. I have the clean title in my name for both the boat and trailer.
Note: Original cost with accessories was $27507.80 in 1979, which is $67942.00 in 2019 dollars. This gives you some idea of what a nice boat this is. I have much of the original paperwork and much of my own.
