Anyone who has been around the ranger26.com site for a while will know that things move slowly around here. It’s not that we don’t care. It’s that we care too much about too many things! So finding the time to get back to the site to add things, tweak things, clean up and improve things is a lot like finding the time to strip, sand, bleach and then put on five coats of varnish to the brightwork!

It’s easier to just host the sails and do the thing I got the boat for in the first place!

That’s not to say things have been stagnant in our little safe harbor. In fact, something amazing has just happened and I wanted everyone to know about it, even if it’s just so I feel really important!

Ranger26 has opened it’s own boat yard!

Our new “Sale Boats” area is open and provides an online listing of Ranger 26 boats for sale, and any other boats for sale that people might want to list here. We’re going to try something a little different and list boats without commissions (no consignments) and ask that if your boat sells because your buyer found you here, you send the ranger26.com site a donation to help keep things a float around here. How much? 5% seems like a great number that I just made up.

Its 1/2 to 1/3 of what a consignment commission would be and you’re doing one of those “Coming about is fair sailing” sort of things (Yeah, I just made that up – It’s a bit like throwing the chum into the water to feed the other fish ;-).

How does it work? Easy! Just send us all the information needed to list your boat and we’ll list it. When it sells, you’re on your honor to do the right thing. Easy.

You’ll find a handy list of information we need to list your boat under the “Sale Boats” menu tab called “How to List” for easy reference!
